Yes they effuse the feel of a "Club" rather than a "team".

So much about the Timbers seemed unique. I'm not too big into them (yet?) but from what I see, they have created a unique soccer experience from the bottom up, rather than try to emulate what's been done before.

Some would argue with this. One of the complaints I seem to hear about the Timbers Army is that they are way too emeshed with the FO.

That being said, I like the traditions of Portland more than the drums of Vancouver, or some of the big box feel of the Sounders.

It's the tasseled shirt, right?

Correct, often voted the worst football shirt of all time

I have to say that due to certain reasons the Whitecaps have dropped in my list of favourite teams. Right now I'd have to say the Timbers are growing on me fast. Seattle is up there and this year I got my eye on the Rapids mostly because they're affiliated with Arsenal.

But going to a Timbers game and being right beside the Timbers Army, all I can say is that it's an amazing experience

FC Edmonton, oh wait....

I don't have a favorite, that being said, I watch Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver with great interest and hope they do well. I am a big hockey fan as well, and I can't stand the "cheer for the Canadian teams" mentality, but I feel it is a little different when it comes to soccer. We all want this sport to flourish in Canada, and having 3 strong and successful pro teams playing at the top level on this continent will be a massive help.
I was a TFC fan during their first few seasons and have bought some apparel in the past, but that support quickly disappeared with the formation of FC Edmonton. I couldn't actively support a rival but I definitely go out of my way to watch the 3 Canadian squads.

Like ahuber, I also enjoy watching Seattle and Portland (home matches) due to the atmosphere. Throw in RBNY in the mix as well, Agudelo is fun to watch, and Henry still can play. They have a gorgeous stadium and feels like watching a European match.

Shawn said almost exactly what I would have... The only difference being... Scratch that. Shawn said everything I would have. ;)

What does everyone think about the MLS kit deal with Adidas?

I love Adidas but 20 teams wearing the same 2-3 templates is just boring

I would Just Like to point out that GabryParker is not me under another name...
;)

GP, Great minds think alike. I made the cookie cutter kit comments a while back, although I'm holding out hope that as were not tied to the MLS cartel them the kit may be alittle more ..."Adventurous" ;)

I think the adidas kit deal was horrible at first, but getting better. It seems as though adidas and some of the teams are doing a little more than just picking a template and colors. Portland is a perfect example of this. TFC seems to have a unique maple leaf shaped pattern on their jersey, and Montreal has done something similar with the Fleur de lis. And someone correct me if I'm wrong, but Vancouver's kit also looks completely one off.

I've heard some people in FCE management suggest adidas does give teams more flexibility in design than companies like Umbro. It's kind of a shame that some teams don't maximize this, but I guess some teams just lack creativity at the top. You could say the same about the NHL and their deal with Reebok too. Both leagues are getting much better about it though as time goes by.

What are you talking about? What two MLS kits are close? The MLS kits aren't boring and abrasive like filthy Series A kits. Real Salt Lake has amazing imaginative design. I love the Union's jersey, I love Seattle's (which is very original), and the kits that are boring to me (D.C., Colorado, and San Jose) are still exciting compared to ADIDAS kits in England. A solid colour with stripes, whoooo.
