It's been now 30 years since my first one in uniform. It's hitting pretty hard in feels as this also marked when two of my lads in arms were honoured too.

Belfast was NOT a good place to be if you're a British soldier. Yet here these lads were serving time at "the request of Her Majesty" all because when they're brother Bushwackers had gotten in that "Wee scuffle" in '85...well they Stood United.

These "boys" of East London brought their colours with them. Liam had his scarf under his dress when that bomb snuffed his fire out. Died wearing the colours that mattered to him. Thomas hid his in the ruck every patrol. Whole section insisted he'd be wearing them when he was shipped home. It was the spirit and love between the supporters that got us all through the madness that was Ireland at the tailing end of the Time of Troubles. And they made this Canuck; stranger in a strange land; welcome amongst them.

No one liked them. But we don't care. For they were Millwall. Blessed Millwall. From the Den.

31 Years. Still not easier. Will leaves a scarf also to remember them, as Someone Liked Them. :(
